Most helpful Pets in Harry Potter's Wizarding World
The Wizarding world is not only different in its magical ways and interesting spells but it also has some of the most exotic magical creatures. While you may not want many of them as your pets some of them are very useful.
Fawkes
Fawkes was a highly intelligent male phoenix and Albus Dumbledore's companion and animal defender. It is not known how long Fawkes was in Dumbledore's service. He had remained loyal to Dumbledore for many years before the Headmaster died in 1997. He seems less like a pet and more like a companion. However, fawkes was also a pet for Albus Dumbledore.
Fawkes is extremely useful because fawkes is a phoenix and its tears can heal even the most severe wounds, and she can carry immense weight.
Buckbeak
it was a male hippogriff. He lived with Rubeus Hagrid during Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts along with several other hippogriffs. It was later wrongly sentenced to death when he attacked Draco Malfoy after being ridiculed and mocked. Buckbeak is very useful as it can fly. This makes it an ideal animal to move around.
Hedwig
Hedwig was an eleventh birthday present from Rubeus Hagrid to Harry. In addition to delivering mail, which is the typical use for owls, Hedwig was also a close companion of Harry. Definitely one of the most useful pets anyone in the wizarding world can have is an owl.
Mrs. Norris
Mrs. Norris has been described as having an unusually strong bond with her owner. Mrs. Norris drew his attention to all of the misbehaving students within the school castle. She has been described as similar to Filch. Although Mrs. Norris may not help the students, she is definitely a helpful pet for her master.
Crookshanks
Crookshanks was Hermione Granger's house cat. He was half-kneazle, as evidenced by his lion-like appearance, his ability to solve problems without help or instruction, and his clear dislike and ability to recognize people who cannot be trusted even when transfigured. Crookshanks is smarter than your average cat. Part of what makes Crookshanks so special is that it's part Kneazle.
Fang
one of Rubeus Hagrid's pets. He was a large dog who lived with him in his hut and accompanied Hagrid in many places, such as the Forbidden Forest. While dogs are by no means magical animals, they can be very useful as pets. It can be used as a guard dog and although Hagrid says it's a bit of a coward, it seems pretty loyal too.
