• 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  
• A pinch of baking soda

Instructions:

1. Melt the sugar: In a ladle or small pan, slowly melt the sugar over low heat. Stir constantly to prevent burning. You want it golden, not dark brown.
   
   
2. Add baking soda: Once fully melted, remove from heat and immediately stir in a pinch of baking soda. The mixture will foam and turn a lovely caramel colour.
   
   
3. Pour & press: Pour onto parchment paper in small circles. Quickly press it flat using a plate or spatula. Before it hardens, gently press your cookie cutter shape into the centre just enough to outline it.
   
   
4. Cool: Let it set completely. It’ll harden into a brittle, candy disc.
   
   
5. Play or Eat: Use a needle to try and carve out the shape without breaking it. Or just munch it with pride.
