FANTASTIC BEASTS AND THE SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE: A Journey Back to the Wizarding World!
It's finally time to wait no more! The release date of the much-awaited Fantastic Beasts 3 has been announced! April 8! The excitement to book seats for another trip to the magical world is beyond words. And with so much going on in the Fantastic Beasts world, the fans' frenzy is already on fire!
Announced back in 2018, the producers had promised the prequel would hit the cinemas by 2021. But the global pandemic that took us all by surprise and the dramatic exit of Johnny Depp dragged the film release for too long that rumours of the film being cancelled started surfacing. But now the good news of the release being pushed forward from July 15 to April 8 is here, "Merlin's Beard!" We are relieved!
Before you book your tickets, let us give you a heads-up on everything that's going on in Fantastic Beasts World. Shall we start?
A NEW FACE, A NEW GRINDELWALD
There's a new villain on the loose!
The Hannibal actor was roped in to play the protagonist after the exit of Johnny Depp, who played the character in the first two films from the franchise, following his lawsuit. Depp announced his withdrawal through his Instagram post on November 6 2020.
The new villain, Mads Mikkelsen, is a huge treat! We've already got a glimpse through the released trailers. It seems we will be in for a surprise!
WILL DUMBLEDORE FINALLY SPILL THE BEANS?
Anyone who ever watched the Potter movie would definitely know Albus Dumbledore had more than what he let on. Those eyes really hid quite a lot of secrets.
Let's hope Jude Law's Dumbledore will finally be spilling some beans on the youth of the Greatest Wizard of All Time. Hopefully, we will get to know the lore of Dumbledore! Try some butterbeer in Dumbledore cup for a magical twist!
OLÁ RIO DE JANEIRO!
Another country, another magical community!
New York City, Paris, Rio De Janeiro, Italy and Germany! With five movies in total spanning over 19 years and five countries, we are in for another whimsical ride through the Wizarding World!
Back in November 2018, Rowling announced the setting by changing her Twitter marker to an image of Rio in 1930. A bon voyage around the world with Newt Scamander, The Fantastic Beasts franchise might answer the age-old curiosity about the lives of the witches and wizards of other countries.
FIERY FRESH FACES?
The new cast list is not limited to Mikkelsen; we would see few other new faces, like Richard Coyle, as Albus' brother Aberforth and Jessica Williams as Eulalie (Lally) Hicks. We did get a glimpse of her in the previous film, but Rowling tweeted that we will be seeing more of Professor Lally Hicks. What would be her role?
Wait till April 8 to know more. In the meantime, let's trust JK Rowling on her 'Answers are given'.
FIRST LOOK AND TRAILER
It is safe to say that the fans are all on the edge of their seats after seeing the first look of the villain. The excitement doubled when the trailers were released packed with cliff-hangers; it left fans scrambling for any details they might have missed.
With just two weeks left until the film's release! Can't wait to swoon like Jacob Kowalski, 'I wish I was a wizard'! Book your seats and make plans to take 'Niffler' with you as your movie date! (You can find him in our fantastic beasts shop -the House of Spells).
