Game Of Thrones
Game of Thrones is a book series that becomes a famous TV Show with 8 seasons. A world where war and fantasy mix, the series follows the movements of several powerful figures who compete to occupy the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms.
Between battles, intrigues, alliances, marriages, murders, and crises of succession, we follow the lives and deaths of these characters, watching what they are willing to do to survive. We want to give you a brief description of the history but, if you didn't watch yet, be careful because contains some spoilers [Spoiler Alert].
Westeros is continent protected by the Wall and is divided into seven kingdoms that belong to King Robert Baratheon. King Robert is a close friend of Ned Stark the lord of North who became the Hand of the King.
Ned leaves his family in the North and goes to King’s Landing to assume his position as Hand of the King while his bastard son Jonh Snow decides to join the Night Watch in the Wall.
After King Robert's death the fight for the Throne starts, noble and powerful families play a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros to take over the Iron Throne.
Viserys e Daenerys of the Targaryen family who lost his Throne to Robert after the war is one of the families that are trying to take the Throne. So Daenerys marries Khal Drogo, who has a big army, to start their plan to defeat the actual king and take back the Throne. During his wedding, she receives as a gift 3 dragons eggs. Khal Drogo dies and these eggs hatch after his funeral and 3 small dragons shows up.
Robert’s son Joffrey takes the Throne and sentences Ned Stark to behead, due to this Ned’s son Robb Stark declares war against the new King.
Many wars happen and many people die trying to conquer the Throne. In the meantime, Jonh Snow disappears and he was seen as a deserter of the Night Watch. One of the shocking moments is the Red Wedding when Robb, his wife, and his mother were killed during the wedding ceremony.
The cruel and young King Joffrey is poisoned during his wedding and they blame his uncle Tyrion, he escapes with his brother helps. Tommem, brother of the deceased king, takes the throne but he also has a short reign.
The Night Watch has to battle against the Free Folk attacking the wall to keep Westeros safe. Jonh Snow returns and became the new commander of the Wall after defeat the Free Folk but he has plans to bring both people together to defeat the White Walker, an ancient race of human ice creatures that was hidden for thousands of years.
After the death of Viserys and Khal Drogo, Daenerys keeps growing her army to recover her Throne, but now she has 3 dragons who are growing fast to help her in this war.
Jonh Snow almost dies but a red priestess of R'hllor, Melisandre revives him. He also discovers that he is the rightful king, son of Ned Stark’s sister Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen.
Cersei Lannister, King Robert’s widow, takes the Throne after her son's death. Tyrion Lannister her brother allies with Daenerys to defeat Cersei.
Jonh Snow finally meets his sister Sansa again (that now he discover to be his cousin) and together they recover the land they lost during the Red Wedding fighting in The Battle of the Bastards.
Daenerys finally get into the King’s Land to battle for her Throne but due to the threat of the White Walkers she decides to delay the battle and help Jonh Snow but first, he has to agree in giving up his right to the throne. Even with the threat Cersei decides don’t join them to defeat the White Walkers and focus only in strengthen your defense against Daenerys.
In the last season, there are two epics wars, one against the White Walker e the second one for the Iron Throne.
It’s a must-see season, but I don’t want to spoiler you about the end so I will leave you here with all the mystery.
